History
1991 The company Weserland GmbH is officially founded. Formerly a section of the company Weserland KG and later Colournfabrik von Höveling GmbH, the textile auxiliaries department goes independent after forty years of functioning on its own. Today the company belongs to Bergolin GmbH, a privately owned paint and varnish factory based in Ritterhude.
The company is based in Hanover-Stöcken. Approx. 15,000 m2 in size, the company grounds accommodate production sites, development departments and the administration headquarters.
1995 In November Weserland is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9.001 (after 18 months of intensive preparation) by DQS Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Qualitätsmanagementsystemen.
1996 Since the end of 1996 the Weserland team has been working on a special development project¾an environmentally suitable and consumer-friendly carpet that has all positive wearing qualities and meets strict criteria for the lowest possible emissions from ecological points of view. This new product, named "BABO-1", is successfully presented at the Domotex '98 with excellent response by the media.
1998 In taking up production of seat pads for public transportation vehicles in February of 1998, the company grows by a further production site in Nienburg/Weser. 18 new jobs are created in this modern 7,000-m2 business enterprise. During the same year the company participates as an exhibitor in the international trade fair Innotrans in Berlin. The interest by visitors from the trade in Weserland products is great, and the market entry is a success.
1999 Weserland passes combined environmental testing unique at the time3⁄4certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14.001 and 9.001 as well as validation associated with it in accordance with the EC Eco-Audit Directive. During the same year the company receives the "GREEN Future Award '99" for its BABO-1 Eco-Carpet.
2002 Due to the significance of the development and production of cushions and seating systems for public transportation begun in 1998, it is hived off as an independent company. Weserland Sitzsysteme GmbH is born.
2004 Walter Anklam, the managing director since 1991 along with Jürke Merkel, becomes a co-partner of Weserland GmbH.
2005 Mr. Roy Schnau relieved Mr. Jürke Merkel in Business Management.
Mr. Merkel is still at the disposal of the company in the role as a consultant.
2008 Opening of a new warehouse with a sliding rack system.
2009 Introduction of a mobile data collection system in warehouse management.
