Supronil® Anti-aging agent for natural and synthetic latex
Highly effective anti-aging protection against heat, light and oxygen
Product description
Unprotected latex foams and coating age in contact with heat, light and oxygen. In addition to negative effects on the product's visual effect (through yellowing), the mechanical properties can also deteriorate. This first becomes apparent by the formation of cracks on the surface and can eventually result in complete destruction of the compound.
In cases with especially high requirements of resistance to aging and for use in unvulcanised systems, a dosing of anti-aging agents is necessary. We offer an assortment of anti-aging agents for such applications, which can be added to natural and synthetic latex compounds as an aqueous dispersion before they are processed.
The type and quantity of the anti-aging agent used has to be geared to the respective requirements and checked in preliminary testing. Typical doses for Supronil® HU 13 and HU 14 are one to two parts to 100 parts of wet latex. The quantity of highly effective Supronil® HU 18 is 0.05 to 0.1 parts to 100 parts of wet latex.
