| The main focus of the EU chemicals legislation REACH, which came into force on 1 June 2007, is on the theme of chemical safety. Its purpose is the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals. All companies within the supply chain (chemicals manufacturers, importers, dealers, formulators, industrial processors, trades people) of the EU are affected to a different degree by REACH.

Implementation of REACH Weserland is on schedule
Weserland has checked whether the bought chemicals are preregistered with the European Chemicals Agency. A part of our products is covered by the REACH special regulation for polymers. Furthermore, we check the safety data sheets of the bought chemicals to see how much information they contain with regard to our applications and the areas of application in which our customers’ will use the manufactured compounds.
Communication as a key element of REACH
As well as holding active dialogue with our suppliers, we also keep our customers informed. Product information is promptly sent to the customer. Our product safety data sheets contain information of the risks associated with the products as well as suitable measures that should be implemented in order to protect people and the environment.
