New powder mixer
At the end of 2006, we expanded our capacities in the field of powder mixing, putting into service a Vrieco-Nauta® model 10-MSC-43 powder mixer by Hosokawa Micron B.V. This is a conical screw mixer.
The special mixing method enables the manufacture of homogenous, reproducible powder mixtures in quantities of up to 840 litres in a short time.
In addition to the manufacture of dry powder mixtures, the option of connecting a so-called intensifier enables the surface moisturising of powders with liquids. The system is authorised according to ATEX, zone 21. Moreover, we can inertialise the mixer by adding nitrogen, completely eliminating the need for further explosion prevention measures.
